Production slot & turnaroundPayment books your slot in the production calendar. Production begins when your slot is reached and all final, accessible audio and artwork files have been received. Vinyl preparationVinyl preparation is required for standard digital, streaming or CD masters. If you are declining preparation you confirm that your audio has been specifically mastered for vinyl cutting by a professional mastering engineer and you accept full responsibility for its suitability. If the supplied audio cannot be cut and tracked reliably, production may be paused and revised files or payment for preparation may be requested before cutting proceeds. Unsuitable or incomplete filesOrders with incomplete, inaccessible or unsuitable files may be delayed, paused or cancelled at Kieron’s discretion. If revised files or a decision are requested and not received within 14 days, the order may be cancelled and a partial refund issued for work not yet completed.

Most orders have no extra costs. If your audio hasn't been mastered for vinyl (or you're not sure), a one-off vinyl prep fee may be added to your invoice — £35. You'll always see it itemised before you pay.

Production files are submitted separately

After placing your order you will receive a DLC order reference by email. Use the upload page to send your final audio and artwork — include your name, email and order reference so your files can be matched correctly.

What happens next

Current production turnaround is approximately 2–3 weeks from payment and receipt of all final approved and accessible audio and artwork. Shipping time is additional and cannot be guaranteed once the parcel is with the carrier.

Diz Lathe Cuts operates Tuesday to Friday. Orders, updates and enquiries are handled on these days. Messages received at weekends or on Mondays will normally be answered on the next working day.

Production turnaround is approximately 2–3 weeks from payment and receipt of all final files. Shipping is additional. There are no fixed-date guarantees on any standard order. Please plan accordingly.

Rush production is subject to capacity and is only confirmed once explicitly accepted. When accepted, it is charged at 40% of the protected cutting charge, subject to a £30 minimum rush fee. It is not confirmed automatically on payment.

About your files

Files are assessed when production begins. If I spot anything that may affect the cut — heavy sibilance, distortion, clipping — I'll flag it before cutting. If a revised master is needed, this may delay the order.

Supplying your own vinyl master? Please make sure the files have been specifically prepared for vinyl cutting. A digital master is not automatically a vinyl-ready master.

If supplied audio cannot be cut and tracked reliably, production may be paused while revised files are requested. Read: Why a digital master isn't always a vinyl master →

If you purchase vinyl preparation: this covers the engineering work of optimising your file for the format. It does not guarantee a specific cutting level. If source quality limits what can be achieved, this will be discussed before the session concludes. What preparation covers →

You are responsible for checking all audio, artwork, labels and spelling before approving them as final. Once artwork or labels have been approved, later corrections may require reprinting and may incur additional costs and delays.

Changes to audio, artwork, quantities or specifications after an order is confirmed may affect the production schedule and may incur additional costs.

Larger runs may require additional production time. A schedule will be confirmed before cutting starts.
